Davis County Fair

Today we went to the Davis County Fair. It was perfect! It's free to get in and there were TONS of fun FREE things for the kids to do. We rode ponies, played in the kidzone, got a balloon, and walked around and got tons of free candy. We went with cousins and had a blast. What a fun day!

Tuesday morning we all meet bright and early at 9:15 am to start our adventure. The plan was to go down to Thanksgiving Point and explore the Dinosaur Museum. Apparently everybody in Utah thought the same thing because 1. the cars were backed up for about 20min's to get off at the exit & 2. the line to get inside wrapped around the outside of the museum. I thought to myself...we just drove all this way there has to be something else we can do. So I came up with plan B (which was just as good if not better than plan A if you ask me). Instead we went to the Bean Museum at BYU. The kids loved it. Then we had a picnic lunch topped off with ice cream from the Cougarette (sp?). Uncle Spence meet us which was fun, and then we went into the bookstore to get the 2009 BYU football t-shirts. Won't Ben be surprised :) Plus we ran into some unexpected friends on campus, what a treat! We ended our adventure with more Fluhman cousins in Cedar Hills. I tried to drive around and be sentimental with Natali...here's where Mom & Dad meet, here's where you were born, Mom taught school here, the 7-11, etc....but she was less than interested. We had such a fun day. Next time we go to BYU maybe it will be for a football game when we are back in the fall.

Bountiful Sumerfest

Last Saturday Natali, Isaac, Spencer, Grandma, and me headed over to the Bountiful Park for Summerfest. It was free to get in and there were vendors set up with goods to sell. We walked around, looked at some DARLING hair bows, got some kettle corn (a must), and took in the sights and sounds. We listened to some storytellers and watched the International Dancers from South Korea and Spain. They were fabulous. It was a great outing. My bow making ideas have been recharged!

Parky City Park

After safely getting us back to Utah my mom went up to Park City for a week with her mom and her sisters. It was so nice having her close for another week and it allowed us the chance to go to Park City and enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh crisp air. Last Tuesday we went up and spent the afternoon at this AMAZING park. It was huge...it had so much play stuff for the kids...there was shade...and it was all fenced in...PERFECT! Great Grandma Dove came and joined in the fun. She sat with Spencer, provided a water bottle for Natali (she carried it around the whole time), and lead a game of ring-around-the-rosie. For lunch we went down the street to Burger King, and topped it all of with some ice cream back at the lodge. It was a beautiful fun day, perfect for keeping my mind off of missing Ben. I wish my mom could stay in Park City the whole time we are here!

It amazes me...we have a whole GIANT park to play at, and Isaac would rather pick the dandylions.

I Love...

I love you Spencer. I love your crazy hair. I love your blue eyes. I love the way your face lights up when you smile. I love that you let me sleep at night. I love that you cry only when you are hungry or tired. I love your sweet baby smell. I love your little mouth. I love that you are my baby.

Isaac is 2

Two years ago today I went into the hospital knowing I was going to have a c-section. It was a new experience but at the end of it all I had a new baby. Baby Isaac...black hair & olive skin, the complete opposite of Natali. Well, today that little boy turned 2. I never thought it would happen My sweet little boy, who is such a momma's boy, is now 2 (and bossing me around). Isaac loves: chocolate milk (wa wa milk), waving "HI" to everyone, eating other peoples food (not his own), jumping around, his binky & blanky (working on that one), Backyardigans, his sister, and making his mom laugh! Isaac's smile is contagious, I love his dimples. I could eat his cheeks for a snack. When he runs his whole body shakes. He is my little monkey. Today we celebrated with presents in the morning and cousins & cupcakes after naptime. It was a fun filled day (also filled with lots of tantrums and a very tired mom)!
